Dragonfly
Oh, my little Dragonfly, I love you,
But we must depart from this land of ours.
Leave your toys and clothes. We’ll go pick flowers.
Auntie, uncle, and me will come with you too.
Daddy won’t come, worry not, we’ll make do.
How could I tell a child Dad’s behind bars?
All I can say is thank your lucky stars
That it is I and you don’t have to.
Oh, my little Dragonfly, I love you.
Tremble no more, we shall flee in the night
So, you can have a lifetime of frolic
And happiness and freedom euphoric.
Ever we part, remember my words right:
Daddy is a hero, and you are too.
