This Year's Goals (2025)
I noticed this has become a tradition for the blog. So, this year's goals are based on some old ones.
- Finish The Catechism in a Year Podcast
- I started the podcast with Fr. Mike a few days into December. (On day 13) I've missed a lot of days in between because I haven't been consistent, but the episodes themselves are short, around 15-20 minutes.
- Get confirmed
- Thanks to Ms. Ashley, Fr. Antonio, and Ms. Anselma, I think that will happen this year.
- Find my vocation
- I am still praying about my vocation. I really want this year to be when I make a decision. I don't want to keep putting it off. I even mentioned to my mom that I am praying to find my vocation. Please pray for me to have the courage to accept the call.
- Walk across Belize and visit every parish
- This is something I have wrestled with for a long time. Funny is I was not going to add it here, but I was listening to Matt Fradd's Chill AMA Stream Before New Year’s ☕️+ 🚬+ 🎇 and he brought up the fact it's weird for a young person not to dream big and just dive into it. I am scared of undertaking this project, but I have had a strong feeling this is worth it. Even during my holiday I have been thinking about it. I even worked on a title and a document "proposal" should I need to make it official. The name I would want to use for the series is: From Parish to Parish: Walking with Purpose. Please pray for me to have the courage and strength to follow through with it.
- Get to 200 blogposts (Currently at 173)
- This is a continuation of a goal I had a few years back that was to get to 100 blogposts
- Go to Medjugorje
- A town in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It’s been an unofficial place of Catholic pilgrimage since the Virgin Mary allegedly appeared on Apparition Hill in 1981.
- For a time, I kept hearing the name during Matt Fradd episodes of Pints with Aquinas. When in tears from this episode: Ex-Abortionist Tells His Story w/ Dr. John Bruchalski I felt so drawn to the place. I don't usually google places, but I felt I had to. I thought while checking past year's goals I like to include one that I have no idea how to accomplish but really want.
