Sound! Light! Drums! Guitars! Hold up! This is a story about a guy that makes an unlikely friend. It is unlikely that you will get the voice in your head to sound like my voice. How about you imagine that I have a voice that sounds super deep. Who's a person that everyone knows that has a deep voice? Hm.... I got it! Morgan Freeman! Is this better? Good let us get back to the story shall we... Sound! Light! Drums! Guitars! The drums, the guitars, the vocals, those were all you could hear, all he could think of. He wanted it so badly. They say if you want something badly enough you get it... Well, I guess that aged as well as music did. He got up and went downstairs, his mom had been calling him for a while, but he was ignoring her. "There you are Frank!"  " What do you want mom?"  " Stop talking to me like that, I told you already about that. I want you to go to the store to buy me some eggs, come back quick, I need them for the lemon pie. Go on your bike...

The Goal

Image
This post is a reminder to myself that the goal is not to get published, the goal is to get read.  Not only is that the purpose of this post, but also as a plea to whoever reads this and one day sees me lose sight of this goal, remind me of this, please. For the future me, and for the current reader, remember the Golden Circle  (WHY, HOW, WHAT). Start with the why you want to do what you do and then go from there. Write a book for Benque not for yourself. Look at the case of the Wright brothers. They did not want to invent flying for fame but to change the world! Work and do business with people who believe what you believe.  Be like the Wright brothers...

Burial of a Crow

Image
I was thinking back to something strange I had seen a while ago,  I charmingly called what I had seen that day the  Burial of a Crow. A murder of crows were in front of my path in the forest one morning, It was a strange sight, normally they would be nesting in the trees. I cautiously approached them, my curiosity guiding my eyes along the path, In the middle of the gathering, lay a corpse prostrate and motionless.  No doubt it was one of their own. I had not noticed this detail yet,  Though many ravens had been gathered, no sound came from the group.  It was as if they were mourning as you and I mourn the loss of a loved one.  Those birds understood the bitter kiss that death had given their brother,  I dared not continue my way along the path, it was as if we agreed to be reverent.  Days passed and I would look around the area that the body was laid. No black bird in sight, there were bugs, berries, bushes, and ...

I'd Rather burn in HELL...

Image
Yeah, you heard me right the first time.  I'd rather burn for eternity in the lake of fire and brimstone.  I'd rather do that than be in heaven with the people I dislike.  I would fucking hate to be a two faced son of a bitch any longer.  Sure, Heaven sounds great, one day I'll miss it.  I sure as hell won't miss being around them.  I would make an effort. I tried, oh God knows I tried.  I just, can't spend another moment around them! That prince of perdition better make way for this motherfucker.  I got nothing to live for and I sure as hell ain't got nothing to lose.   The mere sight of them make me want to ring their necks.  Sure, that would be so much fun, but then we'd meet again.  God, seeing their faces forever, that would be hell!  Those big cow eyes that scanned me up and down,  Those stupid tattoos I wanted to burn off their backs, Those fake smiles that tried to be ...
